What KitchenCalc does

It converts cups to grams, tablespoons to ml, ounces to grams and oven temperatures. Each ingredient has its own page.

Where the numbers come from

Ingredient weights come from the King Arthur Baking ingredient weight chart. It is the only source for ingredient weights. Flour is spooned and leveled. Brown sugar is packed. Each ingredient page names the chart row it uses.

Unit conversions use exact definitions. One ounce is 28.349523125 grams. One US fluid ounce is 29.5735295625 ml. Fahrenheit to Celsius uses the standard formula.

How the calculators work

Every result is the amount entered times a fixed number. The calculators run in the browser. The numbers entered are not sent anywhere or saved.
